Keynote 1: Ms. Sara Moretton

Green Competencies and how we can apply them in our profession and daily life

Ms. Sara Moretton is a teacher and cultural mediator. In recent years she has worked as a project manager and researcher for various companies and non-profit organisations in the fields of education, inclusion, and lifelong learning. She completed a training in permaculture and obtained the Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC), which she is currently putting into practice in her personal regenerative agriculture project in Southern Catalonia (Spain). For her, caring for the environment and people must go hand in hand. Today she will tell us more about green competencies and how we can apply them in our profession and daily life.

Keynote 2: Ms. Ingrid Baiges

Digital tools in agreement with sustainable competences

Ms. Ingrid Baiges is a teacher and has experience in working in "green schools". A green school (Escola Verde in Catalan) is a school that promotes teaching and learning processes linked to environmental education, encourages sustainable practices and manages its resources in an environmentally sound way. This concept has also been implemented in VET. On a personal level, she is involved in the European Zero Waste network and is a vegetarian for sustainability reasons. She will tell us more about Digital tools in agreement with sustainable competences.


Expert Panel: Ms. Karolina Bandura and Ms. Ellen Garcia

Frequently asked questions related to green skills and their importance in the new green economy

Ms. Karolina Bandura is a project manager at the NGO Open Europe, managing Erasmus+ projects mainly related to tourism and sustainability. Raising awareness about environmental issues is very important to her as she loves travelling and discovering the beauty of the world. She is currently working on projects such as Guide Me Green or EcoSME.

Ms. Ellen Garcia is a project manager at OpenEurope. She is currently working on the Enforce project, which helps rural areas develop their marketing strategy using storytelling techniques to transform them into green destinations. She has been a committed vegetarian since 2019, as she sees environmental protection as essential to human well-being.
